Jimmy Gaskin has secured the inaugural Greyhound Weekly Graded Trainer Championship at Doncaster, we can announce today.
Gaskin had 171 winners from 547 runners with a win rate of 31.3 percent, earning him a 53 point bonus. A final points tally of 224 points was enough to see off the challenge of Sean Parker, who finished runner-up with 218 points, amassing 182 wins over the year.
Janice Simpson finished with 180 winners and a bonus of 30 for a total of 210 points, to finish third.
Among Taberner’s standout graded performers this year were Coalmore Blakey (9 wins), Still On Fire (9 wins), Trewmount Des (9 wins), and Trewmount Lady (9 wins).
Gaskin also secured the inaugural Doncaster Greyhound Weekly Win Rate Championship with a success rate of 31.3 percent. Paul Vincent took second on 25.4 with Paul Prior earning third place with a strike rate of 25.0.
