Proper Heiress is the Greyhound Racing UK Greyhound of the Month for February – and connections received their trophy and a special presentation jacket on Saturday’s Gone To The Dogs – Live! show.

Proper Heiress won the Ladbrokes Winter Derby Final at Monmore in show-stopping style – his victory at the Wolverhampton prize securing him the monthly prize.

Trained by Mark Wallis for the MWD Partnership, the September 2022 son of Droopys Sydney and Powerful Mush blasted to a super-fast victory in the Monmore event, clocking the fastest time ever for the 480m trip in winning.

Trainer delighted

His trainer Mark Wallis said: “Proper Heiress really was fantastic for us at Monmore and we’re delighted.”

In winning the Greyhound Racing UK Greyhound of the Month award for February, Proper Heiress edged out other nominees Aayamza Sydney (John Mullins), Acomb Felix (Kevin Ferguson), Bombout Bullet (Belinda Green), Droopys Deploy (Robert Gleeson) and Greenwell Tyson (John Flaherty).
