The white and black 3-year-old bitch thrilled Crayford crowds with her 20 race unbeaten run over the 540m 6-bend trip last year. Although her staggering run came to an end on the 23rd December with defeat to Ritzy Empress, she’d already done enough to secure the Ladbrokes Gold Collar and earn a Greyhound TV greyhound of the month award for November.

Sired by Out of Range (ASB) out of Laughil Irene, Jess made her debut at Shelbourne Park in October 2022 and was picked up by Crayford trainer, Dave Lee in March 2023. A brilliant railer, Laughil Jess ran the tight Crayford track superbly – gaining valuable time on each of the 6 bends.

Away from home, Jess won 5 of 8 races in Open Race company at, Nottingham, Central Park, Perry Barr, and Harlow.

This Gold Collar semi-final buckle between Jess and Aayamza Sydney was arguably the race of 2023.
