Richie Taberner has secured the inaugural Greyhound Weekly Graded Trainer Championship at Monmore, we can announce today.
Taberner had 433 winners from 2449 runners with a win rate of 17.7 percent, earning him a 77 point bonus. A final points tally of 510 points was enough to see off the challenge of Kim Billingham, who finished runner-up with 434 points, amassing 368 wins over the year.
Christopher Fereday finished with 327 winners and a bonus of 58 for a total of 385 points, to finish third.
Among Taberner’s standout graded performers this year were Different Speed (10 wins), Crossfield Tyler (10 wins), and Aero Roland (9 wins).
A treble at Saturday’s meeting ended the year well for Taberner with wins for Foulkscourt Park, Aero Bono, and Sporty Jaxx.
Graham Rankin secured the inaugural Monmore Greyhound Weekly Win Rate Championship with a success rate of 24.9 percent. Pat Doocey took second on 23.6 with Patricia Cowdrill earning third place with a strike rate of 19.1.
