GBGB launches new trap draw feature attached to its Racing Office System

Following the successful rollout of its new Racing Office System (ROS) over the past few months, the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is pleased to announce that all stadia will soon have the ability to conduct automated trap draws through the ROS.

This pilot scheme, the first major development to the ROS since its launch, will be rolled out in several phases beginning with minor open races and competition finals. 

A Racing Office will only be able to draw each race once, with GBGB continuing to complete redraws when required. 

Transparency key

Transparency is also key when changes are being implemented and therefore all draws completed in this way will be flagged with a notice in the race card.

The GBGB ROS, paired with the skills and expertise of Racing and Sports, has allowed advanced and efficient technology to be introduced into the sport. 

This will continue with a further update later this month when the GBGB Registry, GBGB ROS and National Form Database will become synchronised – an exciting first for the industry.

Primary aim

“The primary aim of the GBGB ROS has been to enhance procedures whilst protecting the integrity of our fantastic sport and this new feature further enables us to achieve this.
