My 2024 Greyhound Derby Ante Post Picks as of 3rd May 2024.

We’re going to kick this off with an old favourite of mine, BOYLESPORTS BOB, a son of GOOD NEWS, Bob is trained by Paul Hennessy, Paul will be looking to add a 3rd Derby win to his profile.

Bob recently clocked a solo Trial at Towcester doing 28.99 as of 28th April, he ran from Trap 6. I think the Wide runners will be getting an advantage this year as there will be so few, this is another reason why I am noting Bob in my shortlist.

BOYLESPORTS BOB is currently priced at 66/1 Odds on Betfair to win.

The next Dog on my list is CLONBRIEN TREATY, who is a Son of the prolific PESTANA. Treaty is Trained by Graham Holland in Ireland who won the Derby in 2022 & 2023! Can he make it 2024 as well?

On the 6th April he clocked a 29.77 around Shelbourne, from Trap 6 – beating the likes of: CLONA DUKE, DROOPYS FIDGET, & BOYLESPORTS BOB. This was a fantastic run from him, leading from turn 1 and going onto win by 2 Lengths.

CLONBRIEN TREATY is also a x3 Classic Winner in Ireland and this cannot be forgotten, maybe Hollands best entry?

CLONBRIEN TREATY is currently priced at 33/1 Odds on SKYBET to win.

Zak’s third ante-post selection was going to be Seamus Cahill’s 2023 Greyhound of the Year, Droopy’s Clue. However, it is looking unlikely that Cluedo will be entered at this point so we have removed him from the article.
