Romeo Command has set a new 500m track record at Towcester today to end a great year for the Patrick Janssens trained dog.
The Dorotas Wildcat – Drive On Betsy bred greyhound made all to stop the clock at 28.64 and break the record previously held by King Memphis (28.66).
Greyhound Weekly columnist, George Sell remarked, “Track record on a cold and wet December day. That’s incredible!”
The English Derby runner-up put the Derby semi-finalist, Burj Khalifa to the sword as he extended his lead to 4 lengths at the finish.
