Mark Lyons has secured the inaugural Greyhound Weekly Graded Trainer championship at Kinsley, we can announce today.
Lyons had 425 winners from 2613 runners with a win rate of 16.3 percent, earning him a 69 point bonus. A final points tally of 494 points was enough to see off the challenge of Beverly Heaton, who finished runner-up with 414 points, amassing 354 wins over the year.
Ilijan Zivkovic finished with 266 winners and a bonus of 44 for a total of 310 points, to finish third.
Among Lyons’ standout graded performers this year were Anything For You (15 wins), Carneys Lass (10 wins), Malachis Rose (12 wins), and Pascali Rosie (11 wins).
A quadruple at Friday’s meeting ended the year well for Lyons with wins for Seb Vet, Punk Poet, Croaghill Diana, and Footfield Sue.
David Cooper secured the inaugural Kinsley Greyhound Weekly Win Rate championship with a success rate of 20.0 percent. David Fradgley took second on 19.4 with Douglas Wright earning third place with a strike rate of 19.0.
